How do you perform a typical ceremony?
I usually open with "prelude" music fifteen minutes before the ceremony begins, for the seating of your guests. I then perform your selections for seating of the grandparents and/or parents, the processional (bridesmaids), the bride's entrance, unity candle, sand ceremony, or communion, the recessional (bride and groom exit), and "postlude" selections for the exiting of your guests.

How do you dress when you perform?
Standard attire is black tux for weddings and events, and tux or tails for The Starlight Serenade.

How can we hear The Starlight Violin perform?
On our "Samples" page, you will find music selections performed by The Starlight Violin A&A ("Live" Solo Violin with amplified, prerecorded, keyboard accompaniments) and The Starlight Violin (acoustic).

How soon do we need to contract with The Starlight Violin to be assured of your availability?
You should contract just as soon as the location, date, and timeframe of your ceremony are set.

For what length of time do we need to contract you?
There is a one-hour minimum for The Starlight Violin. This is sufficient time for most wedding ceremonies. If your ceremony is a mass, add 1/2 hour. I can also provide music for the events following the ceremony: receiving line, photos, appetizers, cocktail hour, reception, dinner, etc., up to a total of 4 hours.

We believe we want to contract with The Starlight Violin and would like additional information. What do we do?
Fill out and submit the "Information Request Form". I will normally respond within 24 hours regarding my availability and fee, and upon your concurrence, follow up with a contract. I require a 50% deposit to be included with the returned, signed contract, by the specified return date on the contract. The additional 50% is due a minimum 14 days before the event. There will be an additional fee for holiday weekends and if the location is outside my "normal" perimeter, a travel fee will be required. You will find 21 of the most requested music selections, all performed by The Starlight Violin A&A (amplified and accompanied). I have added a "suggested uses" column to help in your selection process. Most brides find that this is all they need to plan the music for their entire ceremony.
